1000 Books Before Kindergarten... & Beyond! 
Created by the 1000 Books Foundation, the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program is a fun, accessible way to encourage and celebrate reading before kiddos reach kindergarten. As a participating library, we offer reading logs to help you keep track of your reading should you wish to sign up. For every 100 books you read, you (represented by an adorable animal icon of your choice) will climb the wall to 1000 books--and there are prizes to celebrate your achievements every 100-book step of the way! And a bonus: it's about the joy and benefit of the act of reading itself, not how many titles you read. Every book read, even if you read the same book 100 times, counts every time!

1000 Book & Beyond!
Of course, we want to celebrate readers after kindergarten, too! For that reason we have taken the initiative to start 1000 Books & Beyond, just for our library. That way, it doesn't matter what stage of elementary school you are in---you can still participate. In 1000 Books & Beyond, you can keep track of entire books (like picture books), chapters (if you're reading short chapter books), or 10 minute chunks of reading (if you're reading longer chapters and/or longer books). These are both ongoing programs, paced according to you and your reading. There is no start or stop date.
